AdventureCORPS, an event production firm specializing in ultra-endurance sports events, will host the 31st Anniversary of The 508 Bicycle Race, now known as the Silver State 508, on October 5-7 (Sunday-Tuesday), 2014. Founded by John Marino in 1983 and known as "The Toughest 48 hours in Sport" and "The Great American Bike Race," it is the world's premier ultra cycling race. This 508-mile bicycle race is revered the world over for its epic mountain climbs, stark desert scenery, desolate roads, and its reputation as one of the toughest but most gratifying endurance challenges available, bar none. Solo, two-person relay, and four-person relay divisions are offered with a field limit of app. 250 racers (app. 70 soloists and 70 relay teams).
New for 2014, "The 308" We are pleased to offer a 308-mile ultracycling extravaganza from Santa Clarita to Trona and back to Santa Clarita: an epic race from the Los Angeles basin through the Mojave Desert on May 31 - June 1. The route is based upon the wildly successful abbreviated route used for the 2013 edition of The 508 which had to be shortened due to the U.S. government shutdown. More info
